Martin E. Marty, Fairfax M. Cone Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus in the Divinity School, turned 90 today, February 5. His birthday and the 20th anniversary of the Martin Marty Center for the Public Understanding of Religion were celebrated with a six-day exploration of religious ideas, themes, and conflicts as depicted in film, and culminated in a conference on "Interpreting Faith, Nation and Academy."
