Nancy D. Munn, Professor Emerita in the Department of Anthropology and the College and sociocultural anthropology expert, passed away January 20, 2020. She was 88.
Below is an excerpt from the news about Nancy and fellow emeritus professor Ray Folgeson shared by Joseph Masco, Chair and Professor in the Department of Anthropology:
"It is difficult to imagine Haskell Hall without Nancy and Ray. Nancy retired in 1997 but remained an active presence in the department and on campus. [...]
Nancy and Ray were both, in their very different ways, pioneering scholars who made foundational contributions to the quality of life in the department. Nancy and Ray were also individuals who crafted highly unique lives, filled with both energy and creativity, and maintained very loyal communities of friends and colleagues.
They will be missed.
Information about funeral arrangements will be forwarded when known."
