Peter O. Vandervoort, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics, an expert in stellar dynamics, and a Life Trustee of the Adler Planetarium, passed away December 11, 2020. He was 85.

Prof. Vandervoort was recently awarded the 2017 Norman Maclean Faculty award, which honors emeritus or very senior faculty for extraordinary contributions to teaching and to the student experience of life within the University community.
