Lester Telser: Beyond Conventions in Economics oral history now available online:
In 2017, Lester Telser, Professor Emeritus in Economics and the College, recorded ten sessions as part of an oral history project called Economist Life Stories. Prof. Telser was one of four economists interviewed (George Shultz, Arnold Harberger, Lester Telser, and George Tolley). The oral history covers economics at the Unviersity of Chicago during the post-World War II era, and is now available online through the Bancroft Library at the University of California, Berkeley.
The project was organized by Hodson Thornber and Paul Burnett, with Toni Shears and Amy Boonstra of the Becker Friedman Institute and support from an advisory group of historians and economists.
The oral history transcript can be accessed in this linked University of California, Berkley document.
