R. Stephen Berry, James Franck Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus in the Department of Chemistry and the College, has a new book being published in March, Three Laws of Nature, a Little Book on Thermodynamics (Yale University Press). Professor Berry says, "This grew out of the Physical Science courses I gave in the College and in the adult education program, and is intended for a non-scientific audience of people who would like to learn what a science is, how it comes about and evolves, and what it can do for us."
