In response to a Spring 2016 report on emeriti engagement by an emeriti faculty working group, Provost Daniel Diermeier has established a standing Emeriti Faculty Steering Committee, co-chaired by David Bevington and Michael LaBarbera.
This award, bestowed by the Alumni Association, honors emeritus or senior faculty for extraordinary contributions to teaching and to the student experience of life within the University community.
David Bevington, the Phyllis Fay Horton Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus in the Humanities and Theater and Performance Studies, was appointed earlier this month the University’s Secretary of Faculty Emeriti.
